The Riesling vineyard shortly after
it was planted in 1990. The shed at the end was our home for about
6 months during the winter of 1987, and after that storage, until
we dismantled it to use the material elsewhere. |

From the roof of the house looking North - the small paddock with the neat straight lines is the Rieslings. This was around 1991. |
Mathew (left) and Kristian (right)
helping with the 1997 harvest of Rieslings. They worked with lots
of enthusiasm that year. Since then the novelty has worn off a bit
but they reckon its still the best thing to help with in the vineyard. |

L to R - Mathew, Jenny & Kristian with the first (1997) Riesling harvest ready to send to Moorilla. |
The Riesling in full swing. We
have a tall canopy to ensure they ripen - more leaves means more
photosynthesis. The canopy seen here reaches to about 2.1m. |

The Chardonnay in the early stage. They are split into an upward growing canopy and a downward growing one. As grapes (like most plants) want to
grow upwards this means we have to use movable wires to hold down the bottom canopy. |
Looking
south towards the house. The Rieslings are this end. We plan to
expand the vineyard to the left and also up the hill past where
the photo is taken from. |
